Maxxy's face and head swelled up tonight. He left the room and came back kinda scratching his ear. He jumped up to sit on the couch with us and he had a big weirdly shaped bump on his head. We started looking him over and within a few minutes his jowls were swelled up really big and then the right side of his face was swelling up so his eye was closing. The poor little guy! Carl jumped up and went to look on the internet while I freaked out! I'm really not good with stuff like this. From what we could determine he had a bug bite or some sort of allergic reaction. We gave him two Benadryl and slowly the swelling mostly went down. This picture is after the swelling had gone down quite a bit - though his jowls and snout are still swollen.
