Still working on the living room! We got the new light fixture installed yesterday and today I installed the new switch plate. This is my favorite kind- it is glass and then you paint the back of it whatever color you want. Love it! I also love the light fixture. Carl picked it out and I was unsure but I really like it now that it is installed - and it actually lights up the room. Our last one was worthless - no light at all!

The red glow to the left of the church is the fire in Waldo Canyon. It didn't come out very well in the picture. This summer is not very enjoyable so far - it's 100 degrees and everything is on fire.

I'd like to take a little break from living room remodeling to stop and take pictures of the flowers! The first I think is a weed that was blooming in the neighbors yard but I really think it's pretty! The second are the petunias that have managed to come back to life after the hail storm.

I needed an end table so I was looking for one to go with my round Lane Acclaim coffee table. Angela found 3! at an estate sale yesterday and got them for me - so exciting! She told me about the rectangular coffee table that was also there but since we already had the round one I declined it. Well... I went to the estate sale myself today to see what I could find and it was still there so we bought it! Now we need to decide round or rectangular.

I got my fabric panels stretched tonight and I love them! I bought this fabric a few years ago from a seller in Finland.They are large 48 x 24. I thought they would look excellent with the new color scheme and they do! I feared they would not look good with my green roman shades - and I was right...
This is not the correct placement of the picture I just hung on an existing nail - but ewww look at how clash-y they are with the shades.The shades are just too earth toned for this color scheme and the pictures make it more obvious. I will have to find something else!

Mr Sandless came to spruce up the floors. They do a deep clean and then apply finish to the wood which is good because our finish was worn off. The floors are now protected and they look great!

Super bad hail storm that lasted for an hour or more. My flowers were destroyed! Hopefully they will come back. We didn't even have it too bad some areas of town had hail 2 feet deep or more and cars were covered.

Phoebe sent me a link to a website where they had super close ups of eyeballs so I thought I would see if I could take similar pictures. My macro feature apparently isn't as good as that guys camera but I thought these were interesting - I love the reflections of the houses in Carls eye. The eyeballs themselves don't really gross me out but the eyelashes do - they look like spider legs.

I sorted a collection today that had the most beautiful plaque medals in it - these two were my favorites. The art work is beautiful. I especially love the mermaid fishing!
