So I didn't have a picture for today and we had to go to the store so I gave myself the assignment to take a picture of something pretty or interesting. Then I got wrapped up in shopping and I forgot all about it- so I got to produce and the prettiest thing was a bin of Colorado peaches.

The plaque I made for Diane and Jeremy as a wedding present. I actually had to paint this two more times after this picture was taken because I had Carl spray it with a protective finish and it darkened the wood so much that I had to repaint everything. It turned out super cool looking- wish I would have remembered to take a final picture. It looks pretty much the same as this - just darker!

Well I really liked these lamps but they were way too big and way too expensive.
This painting I loved but I have no where to hang it!
I wish I could have a whole cabinet of this colorful glass all lit up!
So this is what I bought! My first purchase ever at the Modernism Show- a safety pin, beaded Christmas tree. I love!

I've been being a little crafty. I made a new wreath for the front porch. I had made a cute cocktail umbrella wreath but the pastel colors clashed with the earth toned walls so I made this one. I think it turned out pretty nice using my dollar store flowers!

The pine trees are dying in our neighborhood- 5 across the street, 2 next door and 3 on the corner. They die fast after they get infested with the beatles. It's sad because these are all huge trees. We have been spraying our tree and it is a spruce tree not a pine, so hopefully it will survive. Look how dry this tree is - I'm afraid it will fall on our house. The birds seem to like them.

My new window shades that I made for the guest room windows. They have a tension rod at the top an bottom and when you want to open you just move the bottom rod up to the top underneath. I love them!

I made some new pillows for the living room out of Thomas Paul Dahlia fabric in slate. I love how they look with the pretty purple pillows Grandma gave me. I still need to work on replacing the fabric on my shades, but I think the green in the pillows ties it in a bit better for now. I have the fabric and will be working on the shades soon!
