Neighborhood kids painted rocks and had a sign that said "please take one" so I took the pink one, though I really wanted the rainbow but I didn't want to be greedy and take the best one. A few months later the rainbow was still there so I claimed it for my own. It's in the garden now keeping the owl company.
The bird bath is a popular spot today!

When I bought this pretty little rose bush I totally forgot about the deer resistance factor! All but two of the little roses were snipped right off and eaten. I love the neighborhood deer so I can't get too angry. Next time I will remember to buy less tasty plants!
