Last night was brutal. Zoey is terrified of fireworks so we gave her medicine but she was still scared. I have grown to really despise the 4th of July. People don't know when to stop. I like a fireworks show but when the neighbors set off fireworks after until 1 in the morning it is just exhausting. I was so tired from the day and then the night was just an absolute WWIII kind of nightmare. Just non stop.
Exhausted today and told myself I need to drink water so I'll feel better, I had forgotten that I already had poured a glass.

My first praying mantis sighting of the season! This one is still pretty little. I'm not sure why I find these fascinating but grasshoppers disgusting but I'm pretty sure it's the jumping.. the mantis just looks at you!

Out behind the fence. I miss having deer around, they don't visit as much as they did in our old neighborhood.
