The poinsettia problem. So my office at work has become the new home for 4 poinsettias - 2 huge and 2 medium sized. We had 5 but one died. I don't know what to do with them all as no one seems to want them and I can't throw away a living plant - I would feel too bad! Swede took one home today but no takers for the rest. Sharon says she's going to try and get customers to take them tomorrow but I don't know how much luck she will have with that. It's a little overwhelming - I think they have been giving me headaches - or maybe it's just work. :) They are pretty but it's just too much!

I finally put away the last of the Christmas decoration last night so tonight I got to fill my new china cabinet with stuff! Here is my glass fish dish collection that I have not had on display for about 4 years due to the kitchen remodel and then not having any space to display them. I love these, not sure what they are for really but I think they look cool. I have 6 of them all in different glass finishes. My favorite one is the iridescent carnival glass model featured a the center!

On Wednesdays we always do a little housecleaning so that we aren't stuck cleaning on the weekend. My new favorite thing is to wear my wireless headphones that I got from Carl for Christmas while I clean - makes everything way more fun!

We took down all the Christmas lights yesterday and put up what I like to call the Winter Lights. Just a nice set of lights to keep things festive now that the dreary days of winter are here. I really think Christmas should happen in February so that it's not over so quickly and then we have the long winter dragging on after - just my opinion!

It was a beautiful day today, sunny and warm so Maxx and I spent some time outside catching some rays.



Then we went inside and started dismantling the Christmas decorations. Maxx would really like to get his hands on the Jesus decoration that Carl made when he was a kid, but I didn't let him get it.

The only catastrophe of the day was the gingerbread house that I made last year collapsed when I was trying to store it away so I guess I need to make a new one next year!

Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, the opening ceremonies were the best part of the game! This may have been the most boring game I have ever seen in person. The play calling was awful and the playing not great. I can't believe they have a playoff game after this. They really need to go away, figure out their game, draft some players and get a new coach. I am not a fan of this conservative defense based play calling. Take a chance every once in awhile, try for a field goal- jeez!

Anyway...

Then we got to meet Dawn and David at Watercourse for our Christmas Party dinner and gift exchange. That was fun! Here is David posing with his new wallet that we gave him!
