I think it's funny that I find katydids and praying mantises to be interesting but grasshoppers disgusting. Carl thinks it's because the other two don't jump on me-- or eat all the leaves off of my lilacs and roses.

The lilacs were decimated by the grasshopper, they are starting to get leaves again and this one looks a little confused-- maybe we'll get a few flowers!

I left my credit card at a bar in Pueblo last week, so we went to get it today. We were going to have a beer and sat at the bar. We started looking around and realized that only one lady was working and the place was full. We weren't in a hurry so we were being patient. Another lady showed up to work but it was still not going well and all the beer taps were all just pouring foam. So we asked for my credit card and left. We felt so bad for them. I hope it all got straightened out. I poured this beer later and it reminded me of them. Bad pour - favorite glass!

New festive duvet set that I got from IKEA recently. Mostly spent the day waiting for the inspection report to come back. Found out that either our roof needs to be replaced or the buyer is playing games. Carl will check it out tomorrow and we will go from there. UGH.

We had to be gone all morning for the inspection so we went to Springs and visited our favorite park where we used to take Minnie all the time. Drove around to some neighborhoods where we had seen some houses for sale and decided that it's pretty much only the West Side that we would consider to live.

I accidentally surprised two babies out in the yard. I went out to fill a water dish and they scampered to the front of the yard. I tried to be non-threatening, but they hopped off. Come back babies!

Angela and I went to see Purple Rain at the theatre for the 40th anniversary! We had so much fun!
Not the best picture of us - I was laughing so hard because she dumped popcorn all over my lap and I was cleaning it up by eating it!

I caught this little guy in the house last night. I think he's a victim of the grasshopper wars - those brown areas on him are probably due to the insecticide. I wish the grasshoppers would just go away!

I've been thinking about weather lately and how there is always at least 1 season when you don't want to go outside. I have decided that I would rather have that be winter. We moved to a warmer climate and I thought it would be great and I hate it! It just means that one of my favorite times of year is very unpleasant and we are stuck inside. So many lessons learned with this move.

This little hummingbird was really kicking up a fuss and flying all around where I usually have a feeder. I felt so bad that I jumped up and made him some juice!
