The grasshoppers are getting on my last nerve. This one was inside so I caught him and let him go outside. He better enjoy hopping around for now because the end is coming soon! Carl's going to spray some sevin out there- we don't want to do it but they are out of control and eating everything.

Nice and cool this morning and so we were lucky to find the parking lot empty at Ecology Park! Love it when we get there before the Boomers who think that this is their own personal off-leash dog park.

It was raining and I looked outside to see this bird waiting out the storm.

Last night was brutal. Zoey is terrified of fireworks so we gave her medicine but she was still scared. I have grown to really despise the 4th of July. People don't know when to stop. I like a fireworks show but when the neighbors set off fireworks after until 1 in the morning it is just exhausting. I was so tired from the day and then the night was just an absolute WWIII kind of nightmare. Just non stop.
Exhausted today and told myself I need to drink water so I'll feel better, I had forgotten that I already had poured a glass.

My first praying mantis sighting of the season! This one is still pretty little. I'm not sure why I find these fascinating but grasshoppers disgusting but I'm pretty sure it's the jumping.. the mantis just looks at you!
