We're staying at the coolest Airbnb near Taos, it is on an apple orchard and they also have plums and grapes. It was previously the home of the Grandparents of the current owner and they planted the orchard. The mural on the house shows her Grandpa with the apples. It is called Amelia's Orchard for the Grandmother. It is lovely here.

Today we said goodbye to my Grandma Dolly.
I have many great memories of her, and I heard a few more today, including a great story from Billy and Kelly about riding the roller coaster at Lakeside with her laughing the whole time! We had so many wonderful Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations at her house when we were young. She always had a cookie jar full of homemade cookies and fresh tomatoes from the garden in the summer. She was a wonderful Grandma.
She lived until 95 years of age (almost 96), and until just recently she was living on her own which I think is an amazing achievement! Her dancing (3 times a week for many years!) and walking daily kept her strong and young - we should all do so well and make it so long.
I like to think she is once again dancing with Grandpa Steve.
Rest in peace Grandma Dolly.

Balloon flower. I planted this in 2017 and I don't think it came up last year so I was surprised to find this blooming today. This is why I'm afraid to weed because I never quite know what I'm pulling up - I'm a terrible gardener. Glad I let this one be!
